1. Dispersant


Sodium polyacrylate(PAAS) with low molecular weight can be adsorbed on the surface of colloidal particles. Because of the large number of carboxyl in the molecule, it will carry a negative charge after ionized, and then the electrostatic repulsion between particles will increase, so that particles will be more easily dispersed. Yang Jianhong and others added the self-made Sodium polyacrylate(PAAS) (molecular weight 2200) to the ceramic mud, successfully improved the dispersion of the mud and reduced the viscosity of the mud. The effect of product was significantly better than the common dispersant in the market .


2.Scale Inhibitor


Using Sodium polyacrylate(PAAS) with low molecular weight as a water stabilizer, the scale effect is significant. After adding low molecular weight sodium polyacrylate to the circulating cooling water, sodium polyacrylate can chelate calcium ions, so that the saturation concentration of calcium will increase several times, even calcium ion concentration is high, it can also have a scale precipitation. However, the polyacrylic acid sodium is adsorbed on the surface of the scale particles, it will hinder the formation of large particles of scale and its precipitation. Even if it form scale, the formation of scale layer will be very loose, and easily to be washed away by water. As a result, we can achieve the the purpose of anti-scaling.


3. Water reducing agent of cement


Adding Sodium polyacrylate with low molecular weight to the cement can increase the slump, or in the case of the same slump, it can reduce the amount of water, and improve the strength of concrete.Sodium polyacrylate has become an important additive to improve the performance of cement.


4.Drilling mud loss agent


Adding sodium polyacrylate to the drilling mud can improve the lubricity and stability of the mud, reduce the loss of drilling mud, effectively prevent the drilling, and improve the drilling efficiency.
