RIDADR: UN 3261 8/PG II

Structural Formula:

Properties:

Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) is white crystal powder at room temperature, with melting point 215-217℃, easy dissolved in ammonia, but hard to be dissolved in water: the solubility is less that 5% at room temperature.

Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) has a strong ability to chelate metal ions, and its complexation constant of copper ion is the largest of all chelating agents, including EDTA.

Applications:

Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) is high-pure grade and innocuous reagent. It can be used as detergent of semiconductor chip to prepare integrated circuit in electronics industry, as carrying agent for radioelement for inspection and therapy of disease in medical industry. The chelating capacity of Ethylene Diamine Tetra (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) largely exceed that of EDTA and DTPA, and can replace EDTA for chelating agent at almost any situation.
